Alexandra M. Ilitch

With a strong passion for journalism, I am a driven journalist who loves to investigate and report on the latest news information for the public. I am a senior studying Broadcast Journalism at Michigan State University graduating in May 2014. I am always looking to expand my knowledge in the journalist field, trying to find and implement new ways to get the best information in the most efficient way.

I really found my passion when I interned at WDIV-TV in Detroit, Michigan. I was able to get involved by covering news throughout the local area, get assigned stories to cover such as going to Federal Court to log the Detroit Bankruptcy Trial as well as follow the Dr. Fata lawsuit case. The knowledge and exposure that I gained from working at WDIV  is what I think helps me to stand-out.

To me, being a reporter and a news journalist isn't just a job, it is a passion of mine that I take very seriously. I love to interview different people, do some digging to find new information, and focus on nothing but the facts.I have never been one of those people who sits back waiting for something to happen. I like to be out there, changing the world and capturing every moment.

I enjoy going to federal court and logging details, calling various sources for expert insight, and making personal connections with every person that I meet. Work hard, never give up, and stay passionate about the things that you believe in, have always been mottos that I live by.
